Hi all. I hope someone can help me out. I've just upgraded my DDR Ram from 1 gig to 4 gig. The guy at the store said it might not take it but the computer did recognize the new installed hardware so he said it would work fine. I get home load up Cubase and open a project that I'm working on. Then Cubase becomes very very slow, becomes wonky when trying to navigate the menus and freezes up on me. Anyone got any ideas? I think I may have to take it back to the music shop were I got it from. The guys who did the upgrade were just a regular pc store. Helppppp!

Pete-
The first thing I'd do is uninstall cubase, and then re-install it, and see how it acts. One thing is for sure. Whatever you do you gotta do it quick. I would think you'd have to complain and take it back right away. More RAM should make it faster, not slower... Try re-installing it first.
Yep do what what Fred says....I take it all other apps work ok then?
Hey guys, thanks for the tip. One question, if I uninstall Cubase will that delete all my projects?
Yes, other apps are working fine.
Just also thought about all my vsti's, will they get deleted too?
Pete-
I don't think the projects will get deleted. They should all be in their own folders right? The projects I would try to move to another folder just to be sure while you do this. The vst will probably have to be re-installed.
Thanks Fred, yes all my project and wav files are on a seperate drive.
How's it going with this problem Pete?
